The Message was Delivered with Elegance at The 75th Golden Globes
The gowns were black, the theme was solidarity as the attendees of the 75th Golden Globes—some of the strongest and most powerful women in Hollywood joined together not only to celebrate the nominees and award recipients of the evening but also to champion the rights of women and the Times Up initiative. It is a program, which seeks to protect women in all industries against sexual harassment and support safer work environments and gender and pay equality. From the start of the E! Live From The Red Carpet Broadcast, Giuliana Rancic said, “We aren’t going to ask who you are wearing but why you are wearing black?” The gowns were as elegant as the speeches and the message was clear: empowerment and feminism is the style and sparkles even brighter than the jewelry.
But, since we are a jewelry magazine, we do want to recognize how the pieces worn made a statement, stood out against the black backdrop of the gowns, and allowed these amazing women wearing them to shine in their brilliance, commitment and ability to unite and speak out.
Here are some of our favorite jewels from this very special red carpet evening.
