Although necklaces and stacks of cuffs began to make a comeback during 2016 red carpet events, the major emphasis has been on earrings. And 2017 has definitely been the year of the earring—on the runway, red carpet and in reality. To wit, women of every age group have been going out and piercing more holes in their ears to wear mismatched earrings, multiples and graduated looks in their lobes like they layer pendants around their neck or stack rings on their fingers.

The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards provided a look at our favorite celebrities wearing earrings in every style variation and proved to be the jewel of the evening.

However, before we show you them, let’s talk about some of the other pieces that we feel deserve mentioning. There were jaw-dropping suites-the emerald and sexy necklace that dipped down the back on the beautiful Jane Fonda and the David Webb jewels on Debra Messing. The stunning Zoe Kravitz gave the Tiffany & Co. double diamond necklaces she wore a hip yet elegant vibe and the single diamond necklace on Mandy Moore was just the right size for her long delicate earrings. A double finger snake ring by John Hardy on Tessa Thompson and the gold Cartier necklace on Yvonne Strahovski were refreshing and lent just the right amount of glow and glitter to these actresses’ gowns.

And, now for the earrings… We were happy to see looks from the houses that bring glamour to any event: Harry Winston, Lorraine Schwartz, and Neil Lane, who provided many of the drool-worthy looks. Yet we were even more excited about our leading ladies of the small screen wearing designers such as Irene Neuwirth, Fernando Jorge, Paige Novick, Jennifer Meyer, Djula and Dvani.
