A Jewelry Star: Rihanna Shines Again

The jewelry industry loves her. Designers want to bejewel her. Young girls want to be her. Whether she’s wearing pieces in every day life, on the red carpet or on stage, mega pop star Rihanna has been setting new trends and bringing back popular jewelry of the past since she landed on the music scene. Some of her style defining looks mix high/low pieces from renowned and independent designers: body chains, layering, stacking multiple rings and chokers. Whether she is wearing pieces from the ultra hip Jacquie Aiche or reportedly shopping at Claire’s for her jewelry—she knows how to “wear it well’ and has become both a music and fashion icon.

MTV’s recent VMA’s was no exception when she mixed a Hearts on Fire diamond necklace for one performance with the fantastical creations of Paris-based design talent and one time antique dealer Lydia Courtielle’s ruby rings. In another performance she wears Harry Kotlar’s diamond earrings with a tsavorite and green tourmaline ring from Courtielle. She also wore a diamond Chopard timepiece.
Here are a few of her shining moments. We can’t wait to see what she will dazzle us with next.
