Customized Jewelry Safes–Keeping Your Jewelry Secure in Style

As a jewelry enthusiast who continues to build my collection but not expand my living space, I am constantly searching for the Victorian snake necklace, the Art Deco eternity bands or my grandmother’s charm bracelet. Unless I have worn the pieces recently—in say, the past month—I have no idea if they are in the jewelry armoire, small home safe or somewhere on my nightstand or vanity table. Although I bought jewelry display trays and pads to line my less than secure storage spaces, I continually feel as if I am searching through the dark recesses of some treasure chest in which the treasure somehow becomes buried. But what good is owning a lot of amazing jewelry if much of the time you can’t find it and default to wearing the pieces you can spot easily?

After asking myself this question, I decided to search for a solution with the same vigor I hunt for jewelry. I found he answer to not only my own, but all jewelry collectors’ storage and security dilemmas: Brown Safe.

Lynel Brown, vice president of the family owned company explains “we had a background in military security and launched the company in 1980 to create a range of retail and eventually, home safes.” She continues, “Historically home safes were an ugly musty box buried somewhere in the basement, whereas we have created the modern jewelry safe to be an organized unit, designed to coincide with the owners distinct décor and preferences.”

The “Gem Series” focuses on a diverse selection of safes for jewelry, in which everything from the outside —the colors and the hardware of the lock, to the inside—the type of wood and the compartments, fabrics, lighting drawers, and entire layout could be fully customized down to the most intricate specifications. They also come in a variety of sizes and heights, the largest being the height of a standard closet. (This is the one I am coveting).

“We will even match the color of the safe with swatches of color you send us from the room in which you want it to reside,” Brown explains.

But it’s not only about luxury, owning a safe that actually allows you to protect and access your jewelry is definitely speaking to me. As Brown explains, “Security is also of the utmost importance. Our client base is extremely diverse—we provide Hollywood with safes for celebrity’s collections as well as many safes for movie sets and TV shows.  The other end of our business is providing safes and vaults for the US military, embassies, and custom safes to meet covert government needs.”

I think I can feel pretty secure with these credentials. Here are some of the other aspects of Brown Safe’s Gem Series:

-Multiple interior configurations for organizing your jewelry.

-Wide variety of hardwood types for the inside of the safe.

-18 interior drawer layouts designed for convenient storage of specific jewelry pieces.

-The interior walls, shelving, and drawers of are lined in lush black velvet, or you can choose to upgrade to enhance your safe’s appearance.

-Custom color options and patterns for those who desire an even greater degree of individuality.

-The jewelry drawers, necklace rack, and interior trim in all Gem Luxury Jewelry Safes are custom-built using hand-selected stock of eight premium hardwood types.

-If you have a different look in mind, Brown Safe can accommodate custom wood finishes and procure additional material types.

As far as protection in safes, Brown explains, “It is, and always will be our number one priority. Our dedication to this core value has earned Brown Safe an industry-wide reputation for secure safes. There are different protection levels with accompanying literature to ensure you know exactly what you are getting when you work with us. We also are here to answer any questions that might arise in the protection as well as the design of the safe.”

In an age of personalization, individuality and customize in jewelry, it’s time to apply that same concept to the secure safety of it.
