Bangelle: Stack Piling Bracelets

You might already own one or more of the variations of the iconic Cartier Love Bracelet, Cartier Juste Un Clou, Tiffany’s Lock Bangle or Chanel’s Coco Crush Bracelet and you will have your status staples for your wrist. But if you are searching for a bracelet that is worth its weight in gold, stacks effortlessly with any of the renowned styles, or stands on its own, there is a new brand in town. It’s called Bangelle, a mix of the word bangle and the first name of the designer Elle Pirmoradi, a befitting name for the collection. There are different widths, metal colors, diamond and gemstone accents. It can also be worn with flexible link bracelets, diamond tennis bracelets and any other styles you want to pile on your wrist. Pirmoradi felt there was a void in the fine jewelry world for a 18K gold unisex, ageless and timely bangles that also would be enduring and could be worn anytime, anywhere and in myriad ways.

“The collection, launched three years ago, was born due to my affinity for “sleek, symmetrical, clean-lined designs and my passion for stacking bracelets.” Elle explains. “ Bangles are a streamlined and chic way to add a luxurious look to everyday jewelry. There’s something sturdy yet understated about bold pieces around the wrist.”
Her idea to develop a niche collection started with certain details: “the initial bangles do not have a visible clasp or other opening mechanism. They are perfectly symmetrical, solidly locked bangles that sit snugly around the wrist.” She continues, “The bangle design is as uncompromising as it is strong. The invisible tension clasp is cleverly hidden in the middle, which allows for a seamless finish that safely stays put.” Elle also sought to attract a customer much like herself who are aficionados of layering their arms.

Elle’s first foray into the jewelry industry was as right hand of a renowned jewelry designer in Beverly Hills. “From there on my love and appreciation for jewelry deepened. But I took time off to travel and live in Paris, Berlin and Bangkok before settling back in Los Angeles, falling in love and having two children.” Elle explains. “All of the places, people, customs and styles I experienced have influenced my work. I draw inspiration from different sources.”
“Parisian style as timeless. Berlin has a big place in my heart, being a hub for virtually anything creative. Having lived in Bangkok broadened my cultural horizon; it also made me put more emphasis on my jewelry selection. In a hot climate, one’s wardrobe often becomes less important, which leaves more room to express who you are through accessories.”
“Ultimately,” she says, “I strives to realize her creative drive by capturing LA’s zeitgeist by uniting mundanity and luxury.”
Elle has continued to develop her niche collection with different styles of diamond intensive geometric cuffs and adding spherical shapes such as her abacus bangle with solid diamond balls.

Recently she has continued to expand while retaining her signature look and pieces. New styles include looks that mimic the bangles in hoop earrings, stackable rings and necklaces which are handmade like the bracelets by Los Angeles artisans. “They are extensions of the pared down lines and circular shapes of the initial bangles.“These new pieces mark the brand’s evolution, flowing organically from its founding vision into new territory. “I want people to think of Bangelle when they talk wrist candy, “But our story goes beyond bangles now.” Elle concludes.
